The Vineyard of Château Malard

There are 11 hectares vineyard with the selected grape varieties:  Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Cot and Sauvignon.

Bernard is a very meticulous winegrower and takes as much care in the vineyard as in the winery ensuring that the wines reach their full potential.

Nothing is left aside from the selection of vinestock, grape varieties to the skilful care and year-round preservation and conservation of the vineyard.

Although Château Malard does not come under an appellation for organic wines, no insecticides are used in the vineyards.

The 11 hectares of their vineyard lie on a clay-limestone plateau and the vines are sheltered from spring frosts and benefit from an excellent sun exposure.
