Bernard Reignier has done some serious renovating to the winery. When he took the property over the winery was still in very rudimentary stages.  He has invested in new vats, barrels, a new press, not forgetting much of the general upkeep.

Traditional Entre-Deux-Mers viticultural and wine making methods are used.  The wine expresses its full character thanks to the painstaking care taken at all stages (ageing in both new oak barrels and vats).

It is deeply-colored with a fruity bouquet and a rich powerful palate.  This wine is often compared to many great growths in blind tastings.  This wine is enjoyable even quite young, though it reaches its peak between 7 and 15 years.

Château Malard also produces a delightful dry white wine, with superb aromas and a unique subtle flavour.  The Reigniers have adopted a total quality approach and their wines are appreciated all over the world.
