Vintage 1998 - Barrel
Fine claret red, good depth of colour, deep mulberry, clear and brilliant. A powerful intensity, notably wood (oak) with traces of vanilla and spices bringing a touch of elegance; after swirling traces of cherry liqueur form. A round and velvety wine, dense tannic structure with round tannins, finish rather warm (heady) and slightly astringent as the oak tannins are still young; good aromatic persistence. Should lie in a good cellar for one or two years before drinking so that its wood character has time to mellow with the wine. Recommended serving
temperature: 18 to 20°C
