Vintage 1996
Fine claret red with purple blue tints, limpid and brilliant. A firm nose of crystallised fruits with a trace of violet that after swirling the glass develops into traces of spices and morello cherry jam. A round full-bodied wine, quite a dense and generous tannic structure. A rich and slightly warm finish. It can be drunk now or kept for about 10 years in a good cellar. Recommended serving temperature 18-20°C It marries well with dishes such as ducks
breast, steak, roast lamb, wild mushroom omelette and soft cheeses such
as reblouchon, brie, vacherin, chaource
